Day 1 - Fairbanks, Alaska
Welcome to Alaska! Relax with a drink at your Alaskan lodge that sits on the riverside, or explore the downtown area starting at the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau on the Chena River. Overnight at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge.
Day 2 - Fairbanks, Denali
Board your motorcoach for a city tour around Fairbanks. Then, enjoy a scenic cruise down the Chena River on the Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler, visiting an Athabascan Indian Village and dog sled camp. In the afternoon, depart for the scenic drive to Denali aboard your motorcoach. The Visitor Center offers fascinating natural history exhibits, films, and the opportunity to meet and speak to rangers about Denali National Park.
Day 3 - Denali
Explore Denali National Park during the Denali Natural History Tour. After your tour, Denali is yours to discover. Explore the remote trails that surround the Denali Lodge, on your own. Your Tour Director can make recommendations for optional land excursions.
Day 4 - Denali, Talkeetna
Spend your morning relaxing or exploring before boarding the Wilderness Express, a luxurious glass-domed railcar, for the scenic ride to Talkeetna. Enjoy time on your own to explore nearby nature trails, or simply relax in your Alaskan lodge.
Day 5 - Talkeetna, Anchorage
For most of the day, Talkeetna is yours to discover. Consult your Tour Director for optional excursions or take a stroll in Talkeetna Lakes Park and watch for otters, beavers and bears. In the afternoon, board the Wilderness Express for the scenic ride to Anchorage. Experience the lively bars and eclectic dining or take a stroll along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail that gently winds along the coast.
Day 6 - Anchorage, Seward
Start your day with an Anchorage city tour, including a visit to the Anchorage Museum, to learn about native cultures. After arrival in Seward, hike up close to Exit Glacier and experience the dense blue ice while listening to it crackle, or stroll the rustic port town whose grand terrain will leave you breathless.
Day 7 - Seward; board Celebrity Millennium (8:00 p.m. departure)
Meet your Tour Director for a scenic city drive, after which you’ll embark on the Resurrection Bay Wildlife Cruise, viewing marine wildlife on the Kanai peninsula with lunch at Fox Island included. In Seward, board the Millennium for the cruise portion of your adventure.
Day 8 - Hubbard Glacier (cruising, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
Hubbard Glacier is 76 miles long, seven miles wide and 350 feet above the water line where it meets the bay. Watch as massive chunks of ice crash into the bay, a process known as calving that the Tlingit people call "White Thunder."
Day 9 - Juneau (9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure. Don’t miss touring the amazing glacial landscape where you can watch for bear, mountain goats and moose.
Day 10 - Skagway (7:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. Admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. Or visit one of the town’s quaint restaurants.
Day 11 - Icy Strait Point (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
Icy Strait Point is located near the city of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska. Home to a historic cannery, the port's connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales, orcas, Dall’s porpoise, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore.
Day 12 - Ketchikan, Alaska (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, with landscapes and dramatic seascapes that can only be reached by plane or boat. As the salmon capital of the world, it is a hub for sports fishing and home to a collection of totem poles. Enjoy the scenery by taking a walk through the town to the Totem Heritage Center, where you can explore the history of totem poles.
Day 13 - Inside Passage (cruising)
Relax on the ship as you sail past the beautiful scenery of the Alaskan Inside Passage.
Day 14 - Vancouver, British Columbia (7:00 a.m. arrival)
Head home with fond memories of glaciers, mountains, and the astounding Alaskan wilderness from your once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
